Step Inside The Attic at Construction Junction
REIMAGINING REUSE
July 24, 2025
Construction Junction has long been known as a destination for reclaimed building materials.

But a new addition to the store is turning heads, and turning gently used goods into something extraordinary.

Located in the rear corner of the store near Space Monkey, The Attic is a thoughtfully designed 1,500-square-foot department featuring secondhand clothing and housewares with a curated touch.

About The Attic
Over  the past several months, CJ’s team has designed and built this space  with intention and care. All the clothing racks and fixtures in The  Attic are made from salvaged materials, reflecting the organization’s  commitment to creative reuse and sustainability. It’s a bright,  organized and welcoming environment that encourages browsing and  discovery.
“With  the housing market changing for the younger generation, CJ felt we  needed a new department that would appeal to a broader market in the  Pittsburgh area. We were lucky enough to receive six years of sales data  from Big Reuse in Brooklyn and just like them, we knew this would be  the right move for CJ to become more relevant and add yet another layer  of waste diversion to our store.”
